How this works
When you see a course review, comparison table, or coupon listing on CourseSift, some of the links to enroll or “view course” may be affiliate links. If you click one and later enroll or purchase, the platform or course provider may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or navigate to the course directly — affiliate commissions come from the platform’s marketing budget, not from an added cost to you.
We currently participate in affiliate programs including, but not limited to, Impact.com, Commission Junction (CJ), and direct affiliate programs offered by individual course providers. Not every course or platform we review has an active affiliate relationship with us, and course reviews are written regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists.
Our editorial independence
This is the part we consider non-negotiable: affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend or how we describe a course. A course does not receive a more favorable review because it has a higher commission rate, and the absence of an affiliate relationship does not result in a less favorable one. Our review process — outlined in full on our Editorial Policy page — is applied identically to every course, whether or not CourseSift earns anything from your enrollment.
If a course has real limitations, we say so. If a “free” course requires a paid subscription to actually access, we say so. If a competing course on a different platform is genuinely the better fit for a given reader, we say so — even when that recommendation doesn’t lead to a commission for us.
Advertising
In addition to affiliate links, CourseSift may display advertising through third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. More detail on this is available in our Privacy Policy.
